Job Description

Overview

We are rebuilding how Favor communicates. A new website, a real content engine, and a unified strategy that connects our web, email, social, and video work into one voice. Video is at the center of that, and we need someone whose craft and strategic instincts are sharp enough to make it count.

This is not a task-list role. We are looking for a skilled, fast, and organized editor who understands how video performs across digital platforms, who can read an audience, and who cares about the result as much as the craft. You will edit a wide range of content for Favor, and you will bring a platform-aware mindset to all of it.

Favor International is a Christian ministry, and this work is Gospel work. We are looking for a committed follower of Jesus who calls him Lord and Savior, holds to Christian values, and lives them out. For the right person, the mission is the reason for the job, not a condition they tolerate to get it.

Responsibilities
VIDEO PRODUCTION & EDITING

- Edit and produce a consistent volume of video content across Favor’s platforms and internal ministry use.

- Take raw footage and turn it into finished, polished videos that carry Favor’s mission with clarity and care.

- Edit resource development videos (RDDs), ministry field content, staff trainings, and promotional materials.

- Produce short-form clips optimized for social performance alongside longer-form documentary-style content.

- Color grade, mix sound, and export clean files with the right compression, codecs, and platform specs for each use case.

- Build motion graphics and titles that are clean, on-brand, and professional.

YOUTUBE CHANNEL MANAGEMENT

- Own the Favor International YouTube channel. This means more than uploading — you are responsible for the health and growth of the channel over time.

- Understand how YouTube works at a strategic level: the algorithm, discoverability, watch time, click-through rate, retention, and how each of those levers affects reach.

- Write titles and descriptions and select thumbnails with real strategy behind them. You know what gets clicked and why.

- Read channel analytics regularly and use what the data tells you to make decisions — about content, packaging, timing, and format.

- Stay current. YouTube trends, editing styles, thumbnail conventions, and platform behavior shift

constantly. Part of this job is staying close to those shifts and bringing that knowledge back to the team.

STRATEGY & COLLABORATION

- Bring a content strategy lens to your work across all formats. Think about what performs, not just what looks good.

- Collaborate closely with our social media lead, our media team, and organizational leadership to make sure video content serves the broader communication strategy.

- Organize your projects and files with precision. This role involves managing multiple projects at once, and the person in this seat needs to keep things moving without dropping the ball.

- Participate in all required team meetings and weekly corporate prayer times as part of the Favor family.

Qualifications
CRAFT

- Strong, confident command of Adobe Premiere Pro. This is our primary editing tool.

- Real experience editing log footage, color grading, and mixing sound.

- Solid understanding of export settings, compression, codecs, aspect ratios, and platform-specific specifications.

- Motion graphics and titles in After Effects or Premiere.

- Experience with AI tools for voiceover, music, or workflow efficiency is a plus.

- DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

- Strong team player with a passion for collaboration.

YOUTUBE & PLATFORM KNOWLEDGE

- Proven experience managing a YouTube channel, not just editing for one. You understand how the platform works and you have the track record to back it up.

- You can read YouTube analytics — watch time, retention curves, click-through rate, traffic sources — and you know how to act on what those numbers are telling you.

- You understand thumbnail strategy, titling, and packaging. You know the difference between a thumbnail that gets clicked and one that gets skipped.

- You stay current with how the platform is changing and you bring that knowledge into your work proactively.

- You approach your work like a craftsperson who also cares about outcomes. A video that looks great but performs poorly is still a miss.

HOW YOU WORK

- You are fast and organized. High-output editing in a ministry environment means multiple projects moving at the same time, tight turnarounds, and clear file management. You have systems, and they work.

- You deliver when you said you would, and you communicate early when something is going to shift.

- You receive feedback from multiple stakeholders without taking it personally. You learn whose input carries weight, listen well, and adjust.

- You are a self-starter who brings ideas, not just completed tasks. You see what could be better and you say so.

- You adapt your style to the project. You are not a one-look editor.

- You can handle a busy season. Some weeks are two videos. Some weeks are six. You pivot quickly and keep your head.

- You are a genuine team player who makes the people around you better.

- You are comfortable working alongside AI tools and open to using them where they genuinely help — whether that's voiceover, music, workflow automation, or something we haven't tried yet. You see these tools as part of the craft, not a threat to it.

- Commitment to the mission, values, and Statement of Faith of Favor International

Additional Notes

You may already be doing this work somewhere and you have started to feel a ceiling. You have ideas worth trying, you care about whether your content actually connects, and you want to grow in an environment that takes the mission seriously.

You probably thrive here if you are organized under pressure, if you think strategically about how content performs, and if you want your editing work to mean something beyond the timeline.

This is likely not the right role if you only make one kind of video, if you need every step spelled out before you can move, or if delivering at volume feels like a burden instead of a challenge.

Compensation

Compensation will be fairly based on experience. Compensation may increase as the organization grows.
