Regional Development Director - South
Job Description
Overview
Favor International is seeking a mission-aligned, highly motivated Regional Development Director (RDD) to oversee and expand major donor relationships in the South Region of the United States (currently Texas and Oklahoma). This full-time, remote role is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of high-level partners and prospective donors in support of Favor’s global ministry.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven relationship builder with exceptional communication and organizational skills. They are passionate about the Gospel, have a heart for missions, and possess the ability to connect others to life-transforming work in Africa and beyond.
Responsibilities
Donor Engagement & Fundraising
- Build and steward a portfolio of high-capacity prospects in the South Region
- Develop and implement individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies to achieve annual revenue goals
- Lead in-person and virtual donor meetings, presentations, ministry updates
- Represent Favor at key events and build relationships with potential partners and champions of the mission
Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain accurate and current records of donor interactions, commitments, and next steps using Favor's CRM (Blackbaud)
- Work closely with the RDD Support Specialist at headquarters to ensure timely, complete, and accurate weekly reporting
- Submit concise summaries and pipeline updates for internal leadership, maintaining transparency and alignment with national strategies
- Keep real-time notes and documentation for team collaboration and historical tracking
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Create actionable strategies to meet and exceed regional goals and performance metrics
- Analyze donor trends and data to improve engagement, pipeline development, and gift acquisition
- Contribute to annual fundraising planning and regional growth strategies in collaboration with the U.S. Development Team
Event Coordination & Representation
- Plan and attend donor gatherings, regional meetings, and events to advance donor relationships
- Host one-on-one or small group meetings with donors and prospects as needed
- Serve as a regional ambassador for Favor, confidently sharing the vision and impact of the ministry
- Travel within the region as required; some weekends and evenings may be necessary based on events or donor availability
Qualifications
- Proven success in donor development, major gifts, or nonprofit fundraising
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident and professional presence
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with CRM software (preferably Blackbaud) and donor data management
- Strategic thinker with ability to develop and implement actionable plans
- Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally participate in national team gatherings

Compensation
Compensation will be fairly based on experience. Compensation may increase as the organization grows.
