Overview
To further the vision of impacting communities for Christ in Uganda, South Sudan, and Chad, Favor International is seeking a Graphics and Social Media Specialist who will have the opportunity to leverage their design skills and social media expertise here in the USA to support our mission of spreading love, compassion, and hope to those in need. The ideal candidate will bring experience, and a deep commitment to our mission and faith in Jesus Christ. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to contribute to the success of a nonprofit making a real difference in the community. The Graphics and Social Media Specialist will report directly to the Operations Director. This position is not remote and requires the hired to be in the office in Brandon, Florida during regular business hours.
Position Description
Responsibilities of the Graphics and Social Media Specialists include, but are not limited to:
Graphic Design
- Create captivating and inspirational graphics for our fundraising campaigns, events, and outreach initiatives
- Develop visually compelling materials that effectively communicate our organization's mission and values
- Collaborate with our marketing team to design print materials, digital assets, and promotional items that engage donors and supporters
Social Media Management
- Develop and implement social media strategies to amplify our message and inspire action among our online community
- Manage our social media channels with a heart-centered approach, fostering meaningful connections and sharing stories of impact
- Monitor social media trends and conversations to identify opportunities for engagement and advocacy on behalf of our cause
Content Creation
- Produce engaging written and visual content for our website, blog, and social media platforms, highlighting the transformative work of our organization
- Craft compelling stories and testimonials that resonate with our donors and supporters, inspiring them to join us in making a difference
- Collaborate with our fundraising team to develop campaigns and appeals that touch hearts and drive donations
Community Engagement
- Engage with our online community in a spirit of love, grace, and humility, reflecting the values of our Christian faith
- Cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, and partner organizations through social media interactions and outreach efforts
- Participate in prayer and reflection as part of our team's commitment to spiritual growth and unity in purpose
Qualifications
- Education or training in graphic design, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design and social media management, preferably in a non-profit or cause-driven environment
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in driving engagement and support for charitable causes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
- Alignment with the mission and values of our organization, rooted in Christian faith and principles
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities with grace and flexibility
Compensation
Compensation will be fairly based on experience. Compensation may increase as the organization grows.
